About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Facilities Manager to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties, providing excellent customer service, and managing maintenance and repairs. Key Responsibilities

Manage access procedures for tenants, including securing key barrels in buildings during shutdown periods
Operate FM Tool Set to manage operations and asset management checklists
Log maintenance issues proactively and report them within the SLA time frame
Conduct regular follow-ups with customers and escalate issues to the Facility Manager if not resolved within the repair time frame
Ensure all preventative maintenance tasks are completed, sign off on acceptable delivery performed by maintenance teams or vendors
Monitor and confirm availability of mechanical, electrical, and fire systems, logging jobs to correct any work identified
Participate in and deliver process deliverables for Vacate and Intake seasons for students

Requirements

FM qualification or equivalent (NQF level 4-6)
2 years of experience with a focus on Facilities and Maintenance Management
Basic – Intermediate understanding of finance
Strong customer service skills, including the ability to communicate effectively via email or Contact Centre
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
