About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Facilities Manager to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties, providing excellent customer service, and managing maintenance and repairs. Key Responsibilities
- Manage access procedures for tenants, including securing key barrels in buildings during shutdown periods
- Operate FM Tool Set to manage operations and asset management checklists
- Log maintenance issues proactively and report them within the SLA time frame
- Conduct regular follow-ups with customers and escalate issues to the Facility Manager if not resolved within the repair time frame
- Ensure all preventative maintenance tasks are completed, sign off on acceptable delivery performed by maintenance teams or vendors
- Monitor and confirm availability of mechanical, electrical, and fire systems, logging jobs to correct any work identified
- Participate in and deliver process deliverables for Vacate and Intake seasons for students
Requirements
- FM qualification or equivalent (NQF level 4-6)
- 2 years of experience with a focus on Facilities and Maintenance Management
- Basic – Intermediate understanding of finance
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to communicate effectively via email or Contact Centre
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
