About the Role

Our client operating in the Speciality Chemicals & Hygiene Solutions space, and catering to the Laundry and Hygienic Environmental Industry; is seeking to employ an experienced Service Technician to their team based in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our clients, ensuring the efficient operation of their laundry and dishwashing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete written service reports for clients that require them.
• Install and maintain laundry dosing equipment, programming of laundry machines, and installation of dish machine and chemical dosing units.
• Carry out technical installations, repairs, and maintenance of electronic chemical dosing equipment on commercial laundry machines, commercial dishwasher, glass washers, and crate washers.
• Provide emergency service coverage after hours to appreciative customers.
• Build relationships with all key people within the client portfolio, including buyers, general managers, chefs, contract or area managers, etc.

Requirements

• Grade 12.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transport.
• Experience in the installation and maintenance of laundry dosing equipment.
• Programming of laundry machines.
• Knowledge of the maintenance and repairs of industrial dish-machines.
• Ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members.
• Intermediate knowledge in the MS Office package and Virtual programmes.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification will be advantageous.
