Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting and Insights:
- Generate detailed, actionable commission and revenue performance reports.
- Maintain and develop reporting dashboards for key metrics.
- Collaborate on regular operational and advisor revenue reports for business units and management (GMS and Advisor Support).
Data Management and Analysis:
- Extract, validate, and maintain accurate revenue, commission, and advisor/client data.
- Efficiently manage and process revenue information using the Commsplit system.
- Liaise with the Head of Division, Finance, and GMS to align reporting requirements with revenue processes.
- Identify and resolve commission data discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
System Utilization and Optimization:
- Streamline data management and reporting using the Commsplit system.
- Identify and recommend solutions for system/process inefficiencies.
- Automate reports.
Collaboration and Support:
- Assist the Manager in achieving commission and reporting KPIs.
- Liaise with financial advisors, product providers, and internal teams on data queries.
- Support Finance and GMS in preparing data for budgeting and strategic planning.
Continuous Improvement:
- Regularly enhance data management processes for efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Identify process improvement opportunities in data management and reporting.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements.
- Collaborate to ensure reporting aligns with evolving business needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Advantageous: Commission processing system knowledge.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), advanced Excel (pivots, macros, VLOOKUP, concatenate, data cleanup).
- Understanding of financial product categories and commission payment transaction flow.
- Experience with data models and visualization reporting packages (e.g., Power BI).
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in data management and reporting tools, especially Excel and preferably Power BI.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights.
- Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication for diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving data-related issues.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
