About the Role

The successful candidate will join our team as an Energy Management Engineer, responsible for designing and implementing energy project solutions for industrial, commercial, and mining clients. This is a unique opportunity to work with various stakeholders and contribute to the development of innovative energy management strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of energy project solutions.
  • Interpret energy consumption analysis reports and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Report on results and propose interventions based on findings.
  • Develop PFD and P&ID plans using Visio software.
  • Develop site layout plans.
  • Conduct regular site visits/audits to monitor system functionality and performance.
  • Operate, maintain, and fault find existing project infrastructure.
  • Administer contractor work on site.
  • Manage the installation and commissioning of new equipment on site.
  • Develop quality assurance plans and implement them.
  • Create operational and maintenance procedures tailored to each project’s unique features.
  • Provide project management services for approved projects and monitor performance post-implementation.
  • Assist with managing site activities, subcontractors, and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Requirements

  • Planning/scheduling and design competence.
  • Development/design/specification of material and equipment/piping skills.
  • Compilation of cost estimations, proposals, tendering documentation, and vendor selection experience.
  • Site inspections and supervision expertise.
  • Contractor administration knowledge.
  • Commissioning and operation of equipment proficiency.
  • Project coordination and administration skills.

Qualifications

  • BSc/BEng Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree (non-negotiable).
  • MEng Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree (advantageous).
