Pretoria: Front of House Hostess / Door Controller

Location: Pretoria East Schedule: Part-Time (3 Days per Week) Salary: R55 / Hour Are you the welcoming face we are looking for? We are a vibrant, busy Sports Bar in the heart of Pretoria East looking for a charismatic and well-presented Hostess to manage our front door and welcome guests. We need someone who embodies our brand: professional, friendly, and able to make every guest feel at home the moment they walk in. This is a part-time position, ideal for a student or someone looking to supplement their income with 3 shifts a week. Key Responsibilities: Meet & Greet: Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and bid them farewell upon departure. Door Control: Manage the flow of guests, check IDs where necessary, and ensure capacity regulations are followed. Guest Management: Manage reservations, seating charts, and waiting lists during peak sports events. Ambassador: Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and represent the venue’s image professionally. Requirements: Language: Must be fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (essential for our client base). Presentation: Impeccable grooming and a stylish, professional appearance are non-negotiable. Personality: Bubbly, confident, and thick-skinned enough to handle a busy door environment. Availability: Must be available for evening and weekend shifts (specifically Friday/Saturday nights or match days). Location: Living in or near Pretoria East is preferred for reliable transport. Ideal Candidate: You are a “people person” with a great smile who enjoys the energy of a sports bar environment but can remain calm and firm when managing the door.
