Job Description

Minimum requirements: 3 years experience in grain trading, agri-commodity brokering, or procurement. Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Business, Economics, or a related field. Deep understanding of maize, soya, wheat, and/or other grain markets. Computer literacy (Excel, trading platforms, ERP systems). Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel occasionally. Personality Traits: Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills Strong commercial and analytical mindset Duties and responsibilities: Source grain from local producers and cooperatives. Negotiate and execute sales with buyers, including millers, feedlots, and exporters. Monitor and interpret grain market trends, pricing, and logistics. Manage trading positions, risk exposure, and deal margins. Maintain accurate trade documentation and records. Collaborate with logistics and finance teams to ensure contract fulfilment. Build and grow a network of suppliers and clients across Southern Africa.
