About the Role

Ntice Sourcing Solutions is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to join our client’s team in Richards Bay. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing all plant maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted production, optimal plant integrity, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role requires close collaboration with operations, engineering, and technical teams to maintain equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement in a high-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Maintenance related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for use by maintenance and/or plant personnel.
• Actively manage asset care processes to achieve lower equipment downtime, reduced costs, better asset performance, and increased/improved asset life through asset reliability programmes.
• Formulate and lead implementation of periodic maintenance plans (predictive, preventive and condition-based monitoring) as per Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Plan and actively manage shutdowns and Preventative Maintenance Cyclic plans (periodic job cards and works orders) by ensuring availability of spares, external service providers, internal resource planning, compliance with all safety procedures.
• Coordinate the services of all maintenance contractors and ensure work quality management during execution and that all projects are completed in line with service level agreements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a similar maintenance management role
• Proven track record of implementing effective asset reliability programmes
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive maintenance decision-making
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
