Rosslyn: Production Planner

Required: Grade 12 Completed relevant qualification and/or CNC qualification 3 years managerial or supervisory experience 3 years production planning experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of production planning functions Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations Managing/supervising experience in production environments Computer Literacy: MS Office Conduct proper production planning in advance Maintain production targets by ensuring that the required products are delivered daily Render guidance to logistics to ensure the effective and efficient supply of parts and materials Manage and address discipline and general work performance of employees within the department Monitor, control and ensure the completion of all daily tasks within sections Act proactively by identifying, solving and/or reporting unforeseen challenges Attend to and sign off on all clock-cards and process these to the payroll weekly Manage the department resources and all materials involved Re-engineer logistical processes, including the provision and control of materials Ensure the general neatness of the department Manage and monitor tools within the department in liaison with the Department Manager Responsible and accountable for all OHS matters Management of all machines Control duties by recording the movement of products through the production process against pre-planned schedules Ensure that all employees adhere to safety and security regulations and procedures Oversee QC in the department, including quality assurance of materials and parts received and dispatched Communicate with buyers and, where needed, with external suppliers about stock issues Manage and control monthly stock takes as well as daily and weekly cycle counts Report on monthly stock takes, scrap parts and KPIs Manage and monitor bending consumables
