About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Carpenter Servicemen to join our team at AB Labour in Rustenburg. As a Carpenter Serviceman with us, you will be responsible for performing construction, installation, and repair of wooden structures, mine supports, formwork, and related components in a mining or industrial environment. You will work closely with our supervisors and team members to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule, while ensuring compliance with all Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) standards and site safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform construction, installation, and repair of wooden structures, mine supports, formwork, and related components.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials according to project specifications.
• Conduct maintenance and repair of underground and surface timber structures.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications accurately.
• Ensure compliance with all Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) standards and site safety procedures.
• Inspect and maintain carpentry tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure they remain in safe working condition.

Requirements

• Recognized Trade Certificate in Carpentry.
• Completed Logbook/Training Modules (proof required).
• Valid Exit Medical Certificate from a recognized medical facility.
• Proven experience in carpentry within a mining or industrial environment.
• Sound knowledge of mine safety regulations and carpentry standards.
• Physically fit and able to work underground if required.

Qualifications

• Recognized Trade Certificate in Carpentry.
• Completed Logbook/Training Modules (proof required).
