About the Role
A well-established construction and mining services operation is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to support site-based projects in Rustenburg. The role focuses on enforcing safety standards, managing risk, and promoting a culture of safe work practices across construction and mining-related operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor site health and safety systems
- Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and audits
- Ensure compliance with OHS legislation and regulations
- Deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks
- Investigate incidents and manage corrective actions
- Maintain safety reports, registers, and documentation
Requirements
- Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (SAMTRAC / NEBOSH or similar)
- 3–7 years’ safety experience in construction or mining environments
- Strong working knowledge of OHS legislation
