Job Title: Senior Bookkeepers
Location: Sandton, Johannesburg
Job Type: Full-Time

Hire Resolve`s Client are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeepers to join their dynamic team in Sandton. The ideal candidates will have a strong accounting background, excellent organizational skills, and experience working in a firm environment.

Key

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and process journal entries and monthly reconciliations
  • Manage payroll and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Prepare VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns
  • Support with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Supervise junior staff and provide guidance where necessary
  • Ensure deadlines are met and deliverables are completed accurately and on time

Minimum

Requirements:

  • BCOM degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (essential)
  • At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience within an accounting firm (essential)
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in supervising or mentoring junior staff
  • Exposure to multiple client accounts
  • Working knowledge of tax regulations and compliance
