About the Role
Hospitality Hire is recruiting on behalf of a luxury hotel in the Winelands, managed by an international hospitality management group. We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to support the kitchen leadership team in delivering consistently high dining standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and run a designated section of the kitchen
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a high and consistent standard
- Ensure mise en place is prepared efficiently and accurately
- Maintain quality control, portion consistency, and presentation standards
- Support the Executive and Sous Chefs with daily kitchen operations
- Assist in supervising and guiding junior kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations (HACCP)
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and waste management
Requirements
- Diploma or formal qualification in Culinary Arts or Professional Cookery
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie in luxury hotels, lodges, or fine dining establishments
- Strong à la carte service background
- Good understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Fully HACCP compliant
Qualifications
- Culinary Diploma or equivalent required
- South African citizenship (non-negotiable)
