About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Commercial Project Manager for a pivotal role based in Sierra Leone. This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of developing and ramping up a new entity for a global leader in the energy technology sector. You will play a crucial role in establishing processes and ensuring commercial success from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all commercial guidelines, financial reporting standards (FRG, Local GAAP), and maintain accurate project books in SAP
  • Support the Project Manager in achieving financial targets, optimizing gross profit, cash flow, and managing assets
  • Proactively set up and manage contract and claim management processes
  • Identify, evaluate, and take responsibility for commercial risks and opportunities
  • Act as the key commercial contact for customer representatives and partners/subcontractors
  • Provide crucial support in establishing the new legal entity, including process setup, coordination, and administrative tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in project management or a commercial/financial role within the energy sector (essential)
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience in forecasting, reporting, and analysis
  • Proficiency in SAP and experience with Project Management methodologies
  • A hands-on mindset and readiness to play a key role in site and entity establishment phase, thriving in a dynamic, start-up-like culture
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
