About the Role
SydSen Recruit is seeking an experienced Commis Chef to join our team in a 5-star resort environment. We are looking for a skilled chef who can assist with the preparation and cooking of Western dishes, maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, and contribute to the success of our kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cooking of Western dishes
- Maintain mise en place for all services and ensure readiness for service
- Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation of dishes
- Uphold hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards
- Support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations and workflow
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Western cuisine
- Good knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
- Good English communication skills
- Strong attention to quality, presentation, and detail
