About the Role
A leading technology solutions provider, focused on bespoke solutions for financial services, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Cape Town. This role is for someone passionate about streamlining software delivery, automating infrastructure, and ensuring system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Senior DevOps Architect to build and evolve modern DevOps practices across teams.
- Enable seamless CI/CD pipelines that power fast, reliable releases.
- Keep cloud and infrastructure environments scalable, secure, and high performing.
- Eliminate manual work through smart automation that saves time and effort.
- Tackle build, deployment, and infrastructure challenges hand-in-hand with developers.
- Strengthen observability with robust monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Document standards and processes to support shared knowledge and consistency.
- Help shape system architecture with an eye on scalability, reliability, and tooling.
- Champion DevSecOps by integrating security throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Hands-on DevOps Engineering experience
- PowerShell scripting
- Creating and optimising Docker images
- Source control using Git
- Build and deployment scripting (preferably .NET 8+ and Node.js)
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Networks and Internet (TCP/IP, DNS, http, routing, firewalls, etc.)
- At least one of the major cloud providers (preferably Azure)
- Terraform in the provisioning of complex cloud infrastructure
- Kubernetes resources and developing YAML resource files
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and technologies
Salary & Benefits
- Hybrid position based in Cape Town, offering a salary of up to R680K per annum, depending on your experience and ability.
