About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead our luxury boutique hotel’s kitchen team in the KZN Midlands region. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating delicious and innovative menus that showcase our hotel’s commitment to fine dining. With a minimum of 4-5 years experience as an executive chef in a 5-star hotel or boutique property environment, we are looking for someone who is creative, passionate about food, and dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that all company policies, procedures, and standard operating processes are adhered to
Efficiently run the kitchen
Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to company standards
Work towards exceeding customer expectations by promoting high levels of service
Regularly update menus to ensure freshness, seasonal appropriateness, and reflection of global trends
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Supervise and coordinate kitchen cleaning schedules and staff management

Requirements

Minimum 4-5 years experience as an executive chef in a 5-star hotel or boutique property environment
Culinary diploma
Strong leadership skills
Ability to work in a pressured environment
Excellent communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to handle criticism from customers
Ability to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area
