About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations at a luxury safari camp in Zambia. This hands-on role is ideal for a chef with strong bush experience and a passion for delivering exceptional dining in a remote luxury setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all kitchen operations and food preparation
- Create and deliver high-quality, creative menus suited to a safari environment
- Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Lead, train, and mentor the kitchen team
- Manage food costs, stock control, ordering, and wastage
- Ensure strict hygiene, health, and safety standards
- Cater to guest dietary requirements with professionalism
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Executive or Head Chef in a luxury lodge or safari camp
- Strong bush experience essential
- Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Strong leadership, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to thrive in a remote environment
