Junior Field Guide Luxury Safari Camp | Eastern Cape

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a passionate and professional Junior Field Guide to join a luxury safari camp based in the Eastern Cape. This live-in position offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated guide to develop their career within a well-established and respected lodge environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct guided game drives and bush walks, delivering an engaging and educational guest experience.

• Host guests professionally, assisting with check-ins, check-outs, and general lodge interactions.

• Support daily operations including guest transfers, staff transport, and lodge errands as needed.

• Participate in reserve-related tasks such as road maintenance, fence patrols, game capture, and anti-poaching patrols.

• Maintain safari vehicles and ensure accurate vehicle maintenance logbooks are kept up to date.

• Assist with site inspections by tour operators and contribute to marketing initiatives such as photography or videography.

• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of lodge operations and the overall guest experience.

Requirements:

• FGASA qualification and valid First Aid certificate.

• Valid PDP and DEDEAT registration (must be current before commencing employment).

• A strong understanding of guest service within a luxury safari environment.

• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to assist in all aspects of lodge life.

Package:

• Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience and in line with industry standards.

• Accommodation: Live-in.

• Leave cycle: 3 weeks on, 1 week off.
