This is a great opportunity to lead the culinary operations at two iconic lodges, delivering exceptional bush cuisine while working in a truly remote and inspirational setting. The role calls for a mature, level-headed and highly skilled culinary leader who thrives under pressure, understands the challenges of remote-site logistics, and brings a calm, training-focused leadership style. The successful candidate will oversee menu development, kitchen operations, food cost control, hygiene, and team development all while crafting memorable guest experiences rooted in sustainability, creativity, and authenticity. ?????????? & ?????? ???????????? Culinary Diploma or Degree from a reputable institution (Essential to obtain work permit) At least 5 years hospitality experience in a Head Chef or Executive Chef role within high-end luxury properties running multiple kitchens. Proven experience working in Africa (experience outside South Africa preferred). High-level culinary skills with a flair for creative plating, global cuisine styles, and rustic fine dining. Calm under pressure with excellent training ability, must be a structured team mentor, not temperamental. Highly organised and hands-on and able to manage logistics, stock controls, costings, and menu planning. Solid knowledge of HACCP, hygiene standards, and remote kitchen operations. Comfortable working with limited ingredients and creatively adapting menus. Excellent spoken and written English (Nyanja advantageous). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including guest engagement and team development. Computer literate and confident with kitchen reporting, ordering systems, and admin. Stable employment history and contactable references. A true bush-lover, aligned with sustainable living and the companys conservation ethos.
