Job Summary
Cape Town – Western Cape – South Africa
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Online Sales accounts, including eCommerce retailers, online marketplaces, and direct-to-consumer platforms.
- Track and analyse online sell-in and sell-out run rates, ensuring accurate forecasting and inventory management.
- Optimize digital product listings, ensuring accurate descriptions, competitive pricing, and compelling visual content.
- Monitor and improve customer ratings, reviews, and overall brand perception on online platforms.
- Address and resolve client issues promptly to enhance satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the companys online presence and market share.
- Conduct online sales prospecting, identify emerging e-commerce trends, and engage with digital retailers.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase conversion rates, sales velocity, and customer engagement.
- Work closely with Marketing teams to optimize digital campaigns, promotions, and search engine visibility.
- Provide competitor insights and market intelligence to inform pricing, promotions, and assortment strategies.
- Implement data-driven sales strategies to meet or exceed online revenue and profitability targets.
- Conduct regular performance analysis of online accounts, identifying key growth drivers and optimization opportunities.
- Develop and deliver digital sales presentations and business proposals tailored to online retailers.
- Ensure alignment between online sales objectives and overall company goals.
- Submit timely and accurate sales reports, forecasts, and key performance insights.
- Work closely with Marketing teams to enhance visibility and sales on key online platforms.
- Collaborate on promotional campaigns, including flash sales, bundles, and seasonal offers.
- Track and analyse consumer behaviour, identifying opportunities to improve online sales performance.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in Online Sales, eCommerce Account Management, or Digital Business Development, with a strong understanding of digital marketplaces and direct-to-consumer platforms.
- Strong ability to pitch, negotiate, and close deals in an online sales environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in online sales tracking and analytics tools.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with online retailers and consumers.
- Comfortable working with eCommerce platforms, digital marketing tools, and sales automation systems.
- Strong Project Management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset, open to learning, and ability to navigate the evolving digital sales landscape.
- Experience in the Telecommunications, mobile handset distribution, consumer electronics, or IT hardware/software industries is preferred.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed online sales targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Takealot, Amazon, Shopify).
- Valid Drivers License and access to reliable transportation (as needed for client meetings).
- Qualification or Certification in Sales, Business Management, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
