About the Role
This beautiful Wine Estate and a la carte restaurant perched high on the hills in the Overberg offers daily a la carte lunch and dinner at the contemporary super chic “look-out” restaurant as well as Terrace functions and events for businesses, private parties and weddings. We are seeking a SENIOR PASTRY CDP to join our team, responsible for the production of all desserts, artisan breads, and pastries, as well as overseeing the pastry section during service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage production of all desserts, artisan breads, and pastries
- Oversee the running of the pastry section during service
- Prepare function prep and ensure efficient service from the kitchen
Requirements
- Formal pastry cheffing qualification
- At least 4 years experience in a FAST-PACED fine dining / 5-star hotel kitchen
- Strong knowledge and skill working with a wide range of desserts, artisan breads, confectioneries, and pastries
- Excellent plating skills and refined attention to detail
- Able to collaborate with other team members for EFFICIENCY & SPEED
- Effective communication skills in ENGLISH
