Experience in installation of parts and related equipment. Fault finding and problem solving abilities. Good communication skills and ability to interact with team members effectively. Ability to act decisively and with urgency in high-pressure situations. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams. DUTIES: Technical: Identify, report, and rectify all technical issues on assigned production equipment (machines, moulds, etc.). Have an in-depth understanding of: Product and its quality criteria. Process (material feeding and drying, injection moulding, reheat stretch blow moulding, and injection blow moulding). Detailed knowledge of all equipment for assigned machinery. Mould installation. Technical principles and drawings (e.g. assemblies and spare part identification, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric systems). Fault Analysis and Problem Solving: Independently conduct fault analysis and problem solving when necessary (teamwork as needed). Product quality and processing issues. Mould issues. Machine malfunctions (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric). Recognize and report problems to the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager for non-assigned equipment. Maintenance: Independently develop maintenance plans and checklists (teamwork as needed). Ensure maintenance is performed at required intervals as per the plans: By service suppliers as agreed with Maintenance Manager & Production Manager. Document all maintenance according to the plans. Spares: Identify spares needed for assigned equipment: General spares. Preventative spares identified during maintenance checks. Machine Setting: Independently develop machine settings (teamwork as needed). Set and ensure machines are correctly configured for each run. Document settings and setting adjustments centrally. If needed (for fault finding, etc.), temporarily operate machines with a bridged safety switch while present, ensuring safety and compliance with precautions (e.g. PPE such as face shields). Management: Liaise with the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager to ensure machine availability in relation to major maintenance intervals. Have an overview of required tasks and report to Maintenance Manager & Production Manager. Provide completion dates and ensure tasks required by Maintenance Manager & Production Manager are fulfilled. Maintain strong communication and relationships with internal teams (e.g. QC, Production) and external teams (e.g. Company Toolroom, suppliers). Continuously strive for improvement by researching and making suggestions. Administration (Job Related): Log jobs performed and maintain accurate records. Analyze the Defect Register with the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager to improve production results. Contact external suppliers (as agreed with Maintenance Manager & Production Manager) for assistance in problem-solving (quotes for services, spare parts, etc.). Spare parts management: Maintain an overview of existing stock for equipment. Conduct spare part analysis to balance stock levels with breakdown needs. Report parts needed to Maintenance Manager & Production Manager and assist in sourcing decisions. Assist Maintenance Manager & Production Manager in the ordering process (e.g. prepare documents, follow up on orders). Plan for the year ahead and assist in the budget process for maintenance. Health & Safety: Ensure and enforce compliance with health and safety requirements in the area of responsibility. Maintain high housekeeping standards (e.g. cleanliness of machines and areas). Work safely and report safety hazards or issues. Report any accidents, incidents, and near misses. Quality: Apply the companys quality principles and standards. Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Food Safety System Certification (FSSC): Apply site-specific food safety principles and standards. Report any food safety hazards or issues to Supervisor/Manager Comply with and maintain all GMPs in relation to the companys FSMS (Food Safety Management System). Maintain communication with key suppliers. Review operator manuals and relevant literature. Teamwork and Co-operation: Foster teamwork and co-operation within the team. Self-manage and demonstrate leadership skills. Maintain strong interpersonal relationships. Focus on product and service quality. General: Perform additional tasks as required from time to time.
