Job Description

Expertise and Qualifications Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in logistics and/or material planning function Knowledge of QMS/UMS standards Supplier Raw Material knowledge & experience Stores and Warehouse experience and understanding MUST be fully computer literate Responsible Stock reports Ensure sufficient material flow to production Ensure that all gaps in the supply chain are filled in the correct time All material problems must be reported immediately to your Logistics Manager It is the responsibility of the material planner to ensure that urgent or late material will be supplied to the production lines through the correct channels Critical lists must be send to suppliers and followed up with the corrective action Maintain old FIFO dates in the warehouse regarding slow runners and expiry dates The material planner is responsible for 2204 and 2604 to reflect the correct stock as indicated Responsible for Stock reports, All freight reports, Mocca lists, Obsolescense reports, Oversupply reports, Under supply reports, Stock analysis, Negative stocks Maintain up to date information to production on current out of stock situations Ensure material supply to Projects Maintain the MRP with comparing this to the call-offs received from the customer Order runs to all relevant suppliers as per given date Ensure that suppliers receive these orders at the correct time
