About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Receptionist to join our team at Craven Cottage CC in South Africa. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for ensuring their satisfaction and providing exceptional customer service. If you have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and experience in luxury boutique hotels or resorts, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet all guests and assist with check-in and check-out
- Maintain a positive attitude and friendly demeanour
- Respond to all guest questions and requests
- Answer and forward phone calls
- Manage guest bookings and reservations
- Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as needed
- Operate computer programs and multi-line phone systems
- Maintain guest records and book reservations
- Complete basic cashier and bookkeeping responsibilities
- Contact necessary staff to solve problems when challenges arise, ensuring guest comfort
- Ensuring that guests experience maximum satisfaction, presenting an excellent image of the hotel
Requirements
- Grade 12
- At least 3+ years’ experience in a luxury boutique hotel / resort environment
- Hotel booking system knowledge and experience
- Able to answer emails with good wording, correct punctuation and spelling
- Keep a tidy and orderly workspace
- Able to help out in other areas of the hotel when needed
- Be prepared to work normal hours or a split shift
- Adhere to Basic employment procedures according to the legislation
- Driver’s licence and preferably a vehicle
Qualifications
- Formal qualification will be an advantage
Salary & Benefits
R15k per month with a main meal served daily. Accommodation (self-contained flat). Water and electricity. Cycles: 3 weeks on / 1 week off
