We are looking to recruit Runners who are responsible to ensure our guests receive world-class service, award winning cuisine and memorable experiences at our conference & events, room service, bars, restaurants, and lounge.

As a Runner, you will work in any food and beverage outlet such as room service, lounge, restaurant and conference and events. You will be responsible for preparing the pass area for service and transport food items prepared in the main kitchen to the relevant food and beverage outlets ensuring an efficient link between the Food Service Ambassador and the kitchen – to ensure the food orders are brought to the restaurant correctly, safely and in good time.

Requirements:

– Matric (advantageous)

– Work various shifts

– Work across multiple functions (restaurant, room service, lounge, conference & events)

– Previous relevant up market restaurant experience in a 4* or equivalent environment.

Competencies:

– Neat and professional appearance

– Food & Beverage Service operations skills in an upmarket environment

– Product knowledge of hotel and city

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills

– Menu terminology, menu & wine knowledge, and an in-depth knowledge of the current menu & wine list

– Ability to use technology i.e.mobile device
