About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team in Stellenbosch, South Africa. As a key member of our financial planning and analysis department, you will be responsible for monitoring and forecasting cash positions across entities and projects, building and refining project finance models, and structuring and negotiating debt and equity financing with lenders and investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and forecast cash positions across entities and projects
- Build and refine project finance models
- Run scenario and risk analyses
- Structure and negotiate debt and equity financing with lenders and investors
- Support financial due diligence and prepare content for investment committees
- Collaborate with technical teams to assess project feasibility and returns
- Track financial performance, update models post-close, and support portfolio reporting
- Assist with capital structuring, budgeting, and shareholder reporting
- Contribute to M&A analysis, valuations, and refinancing initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years experience in accounting or finance, ideally in project-based or investment environments
- Strong Excel skills (including macros and modelling)
- Solid understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and investment principles
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Professional qualification (e.g., CA) is a plus
