Job Summary

Duties:

Develop and update cocktail menus, incorporating classic recipes with innovative twists and seasonal ingredients. Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service delivery, hygiene standards, and compliance with safety regulations. Train, supervise, and evaluate bar staff performance, ensuring they are knowledgeable about drinks and service standards. Manage bar inventory, track stock levels, and order supplies to maintain optimal levels. Ensure all cocktails and beverages are prepared and served according to established standards. Provide excellent customer service, address guest needs, and create a positive bar experience. Collaborate with management to develop strategies for maximizing beverage sales and achieving revenue targets. Monitor beverage costs, minimize waste, and ensure inventory is managed effectively. Ensure adherence to all public health guidelines, safety protocols, and food safety procedures.

Requirements:

Grade 12 A formal qualification At least 2 4 years as a Mixologist Deep understanding of cocktail recipes, spirits, wines, and mixology techniques. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with staff and guests. Meticulous attention to detail in cocktail preparation, inventory management, and overall bar operations. Ability to address customer issues and resolve operational challenges effectively.

Job Summary

What Youll Do: Design and execute an innovative cocktail menu that celebrates local ingredients, seasonal flavors, and estate-produced wines and spirits. Lead and mentor the bar team to deliver exceptional guest experiences with flair and precision. Collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, Executive Chef, and Sommelier to create harmonious pairings and elevate the estates holistic offering. Maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency across all bar services. Oversee stock control, ordering, costing, and inventory management. Drive bar revenue through creative events, upselling, and guest engagement. Stay ahead of global mixology trends while keeping sustainability and storytelling at the core of the beverage experience. What Were Looking For: Minimum 35 years experience as a Head Bartender or Mixologist in a luxury or high-end environment. Deep knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and modern mixology techniques. Passion for hospitality, creativity, and guest interaction. Strong leadership, training, and team development skills. A polished, professional appearance and excellent communication skills. Experience working with wine estates, boutique hotels, or fine dining venues is an advantage. WSET or similar beverage certification is a plus. Are you ready to shake things up in wine country?
