About the Role
The Senior Data Analyst role at our organisation focuses on supporting business teams through insightful reporting, strong data structures and well-documented information flows. The successful candidate will work closely with finance operations and technology teams to improve how data is accessed, understood, and applied across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse documents and maintain structured views of existing data environments
- Translate business reporting needs into accurate and efficient data solutions
- Design and improve database structures to support evolving requirements
- Write, optimise, and validate complex SQL queries for operational and financial reporting
- Build and maintain Excel-based reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis outputs
- Support data quality testing, change validation, and issue resolution
- Assist business users with data queries, guidance, and best practice usage
Requirements
- A Degree in a quantitative or analytical field is required
- 8 to 10 years’ experience within a data analysis or business-focused analytics role
- Hands-on experience working with SQL Server environments is essential
- Proven experience working independently and managing priorities without close supervision
- Exposure to financial reporting, data, or transactional environments is advantageous
