This role is ideal for someone with experience in electrical systems, automation, and hands-on project implementation, who is passionate about technical innovation and fieldwork. The technician will be responsible for providing technical support on automation products , including assisting with installations, troubleshooting, assembly, training, and drawing development. This role includes national and regional travel to support on-site installations and dealer/end-user interaction. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support on digital farming (DF) and automation products, including installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting Develop AutoCAD drawings and assist in system design Assemble and test automation units (irrigation dosing, controllers, radio units, etc.) Wire and configure cabinets and electrical panels Offer telephonic and on-site support to clients and dealers across South Africa and SADC Train end users and dealers on the use and maintenance of automation equipment Assist with filter banks and related product servicing as needed Report directly to the Technical Manager, with additional support provided to the Product Manager Minimum Requirements: BTech or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Mechatronics 3-5 years of relevant technical experience Proficient in AutoCAD , and ideally familiar with Inventor software Knowledge of VSD/PLC systems , ELV electrical systems , computer hardware , and hydraulic/flow dynamics Qualified electrician status is strongly preferred Excellent problem-solving and time management skills Strong interpersonal and training capabilities Valid drivers license and passport role includes frequent travel
