About the Role
IntelliStaff is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to join our team in Goodwood, Cape Town. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for optimizing transportation routes, managing driver schedules, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize transportation routes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of delivery schedules.
- Monitor and adjust route plans based on real-time factors such as traffic, weather, and road closures.
- Coordinate the allocation of vehicles, drivers, and equipment to meet operational demands.
- Optimize fleet utilization to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and oversee repairs when necessary.
- Act as the central point of contact for communication between the branch, drivers, and customers.
- Collaborate with the Branch Manager and other Area Vehicle Managers to share best practices and address operational challenges.
Requirements
- Matric
- Degree/Diploma in Logistics Management or similar qualification
- Must have proven experience in road freight and logistics management with 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or coordination role.
- Must have knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
