Job Description
We are seeking a confident and guest focused Duty Manager to join the leadership team and uphold the estate’s impeccable service standards across all departments.
About the Role
As Duty Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for guests and staff during daily operations. You will oversee the smooth running of the property, ensuring that every aspect of the guest journey from check in to dining and beyond reflects warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail.
This role requires a hands on hospitality professional who thrives in an intimate, high end environment, balancing operational precision with genuine guest connection.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the daily operations across Front Office, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, and Maintenance.
Anticipate and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Ensure consistent adherence to brand standards, service protocols, and health and safety policies.
Conduct property walkabouts and quality checks to maintain operational readiness.
Lead by example, motivating and guiding team members to deliver excellence at every touchpoint.
Assist with staff training, scheduling, and performance feedback.
Oversee handovers, shift reports, and communication between departments.
Requirements
Matric and a recognised hospitality qualification.
Minimum three to five years of experience in a Duty Manager, Assistant Front Office Manager, or similar role within a four or five star hotel or boutique property.
Strong operational knowledge across Front Office and Food and Beverage.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem solving skills.
A professional, polished appearance and calm presence under pressure.
Proficiency in property management systems such as Opera is advantageous.
