Job Description:
As the Tax Specialist your duties could include the following:
Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts in compliance with SARS requirements
Assist with international tax matters, including double tax agreements, residency considerations, and cross-border structuring
Conduct tax research and provide technical guidance on complex tax issues
Manage client tax queries, provide accurate advice, and ensure timely resolution
Prepare tax calculations, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Assist with VAT, PAYE, and provisional tax submissions and reviews
Monitor compliance deadlines and ensure all statutory submissions are made timeously
Liaise with SARS on audits, verifications, and objections/disputes
Support senior tax managers with ad-hoc projects, planning, and advisory work
Maintain high-quality client communication and build strong professional relationships
 
Skills & Experience:
2-5 years of experience in a tax-focused role within an accounting or professional services environment
Registration with SAIT
Solid understanding of South African tax legislation and SARS compliance requirements
Proficiency in tax software
Professional, client-centric approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service

Qualification:
Relevant degree or diploma in Tax/Accounting
