About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Fleet Controller to join our team at Greys Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of our fleet, ensuring compliance with company policies, and coordinating vehicle maintenance and repairs. With a strong background in logistics operations, you will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor daily vehicle movements
• Track vehicles and ensure efficient route planning
• Manage driver schedules, attendance, and performance
• Ensure compliance with road traffic regulations and company policies
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance, servicing, and repairs
• Monitor fuel usage and control fleet-related costs
• Maintain accurate fleet records and reporting
• Handle breakdowns, incidents, and emergency situations
• Liaise with operations, logistics, and security teams

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fleet Controller or similar role
• Strong knowledge of vehicle tracking systems and logistics operations
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Computer literacy (Excel, email, fleet management systems)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in logistics or transport management
• Experience in security or high-risk fleet operations
• Knowledge of Durban routes and KZN region
