Job Summary
Our client, an engineering company specializing in re-engineering, is seeking a qualified 3D Scanning Draughtsman to join their team. This role requires a Mechanical Draughtsman/Designer with expertise in 3D scanning and CAD modeling. The ideal candidate will operate various 3D scanning equipment (e.g., laser scanners, structured light scanners) to capture detailed measurements and generate point clouds of objects and spaces. These point clouds are converted into accurate 3D models using specialized CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Rhino.The primary responsibility is to create detailed technical drawings, plans, and blueprints based on the 3D models, which will be used in manufacturing, construction, or renovation projects. The draughtsman will collaborate closely with engineers and designers to ensure the models meet project specifications and client requirements. This includes interpreting project goals, ensuring the scans capture all necessary details, and troubleshooting any scanning issues that arise.Key skills include technical drawing knowledge, proficiency in 3D scanning equipment and CAD software, and strong problem-solving abilities to manage complex data and deliver accurate models. A qualification in mechanical drafting or design is essential for this role.
