Responsibilities:

– Oversee all aspects of the mining operation, including production, safety, budgeting, and personnel management
– Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs
– Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
– Manage a team of supervisors, engineers, and operators to achieve production targets
– Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and logistics, to ensure smooth operations
– Report regularly to senior management on production, safety, and financial performance
– Identify and implement improvements to process and equipment to increase productivity and profitability
– Develop and mentor junior staff members to facilitate career growth and succession planning

Qualifications:
– Bachelor`s degree in Mining Engineering or related field 
– Mine Manager`s Certificate of Competency
– Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 5 years in a management role
– Strong knowledge of mining regulations and best practices
– Proven track record of achieving production targets while maintaining a high standard of safety
– Excellent leadership and communication skills
– Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
– Willingness to travel and work in remote locations as needed
