Job Summary
As a Bookkeeper, you’ll process accounting journals, perform reconciliations, and prepare VAT returns for submission to SARS.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Process and record accounting journals accurately within Xero, ensuring entries align with company and client policies.
- Perform comprehensive reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts (e.g., bank, accounts payable, accounts receivable) and select income statement accounts, ensuring accuracy in all supporting schedules.
- Calculate and prepare VAT returns, ensuring compliance with SARS requirements and timely submission.
- Assist in managing month-end and year-end financial close processes by reconciling accounts and addressing any discrepancies.
- Provide clients with general bookkeeping support and advice on VAT and accounting processes as needed.

- Strong organizational skills.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualification in Bookkeeping
- 2-3 Years Experience in similar role
- Driver`s License and Own Vehicle
- Proven experience with Xero accounting software.
- Proficiency in VAT calculations and return preparation.
- Experience in balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
Remuneration:
R15,000 – R18,000 per month
