Job Summary
A pioneering company at the forefront of Web 3.0, AI, and cryptocurrency is seeking a dynamic Accountant CA(SA) to join their innovative team on a permanent basis. You will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of cutting-edge technologies, including blockchain, AI solutions, and cryptocurrency transactions, including Bitcoin.
Duties:
- Manage financial reporting and compliance related to Web 3.0 technologies, cryptocurrency transactions (including Bitcoin), and blockchain-based projects.
- Ensure accurate financial tracking of digital assets, including valuation, transactions, and accounting treatment of cryptocurrencies.
- Implement and maintain accounting processes and controls for blockchain-based assets and AI-driven financial tools.
- Work closely with the cybersecurity team to assess risks associated with digital financial transactions and safeguard company assets.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the financial performance of Web 3.0 ventures, including decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms and AI-powered financial solutions.
- Assist with the tax implications of cryptocurrency and AI-related financial activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies for cryptocurrency treasury management, including Bitcoin holdings and transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline blockchain and AI-based financial operations.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in Web 3.0, AI, cryptocurrency, and cybersecurity to ensure the company is always at the forefront of the digital finance space.
Qualifications & skills:
- CA(SA) qualification with a strong understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, and financial management.
- Experience with Web 3.0 technologies, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies (including Bitcoin).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity risks and considerations related to digital asset management.
- Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations pertaining to cryptocurrency and decentralized finance (DeFi).
