Job Summary
- Summary of job contents
To manage strategic accounts across regions. Be responsible for the realization of sales
objectives within the assigned group. Responsible for maintaining relationships with
key- accounts, and for the negotiation of customer contracts in accordance with the
overall company sales strategy.
- Key accountabilities
- Establish, plan, implement and achieve agreed business and strategic objectives.
– Ensure that correct processes are followed, in accordance with the quality
system and administration requirements. Actively promote and support
“continuous improvement” of total quality.
– Accept total responsibility for the achievement of agreed objectives.
– Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan that includes new and
existing sales strategies for key accounts.
– Coordinate marketing strategies and implement business strategies to achieve
profitable business and identify new revenue opportunities with major
accounts.
– Understand strategic business challenges and prioritise teams in analysing
information and prioritising opportunities critical to an account.
– Lead and direct, evaluate and develop a team of account managers to pursue
prospects, promote products, offer solutions and achieve sales targets.
– Play a lead role in driving a cross-regional sales team and internal
employees to penetrate key accounts and aggressively expand relationships.
– Coordinate the activity of all functions with whom the customer has direct
contact in order to provide a consistent and cohesive service.
– Monitor competitive activity within accounts and disseminate information to
relevant parties.
– Work with other managers in developing methods and sharing knowledge to
achieve improvements in operational and strategic effectiveness and
efficiencies.
– Responsible for providing ongoing support to high value clients.
– Maintain excellence in customer service and deal with any customer
interaction in a professional, quick and effective way to enhance overall
experience and customer relations.
– Ensure all information, statistical data and operational activities are
according to sound business practices and comply with the existing law of the
land.
– Keep the Managing Director and the National Sales Manager informed
beforehand of any possible changes or anticipated deviations from current
plans, objectives or company policy/procedures.
– Willingness to perform whatever other tasks are required from time to time.
– Be responsible for living the COMPANY Values, and take ownership of the COMPANY
Vision and Mission Statement.
- Ensure proper human resource utilization
– Manage employees according to company policies, procedures and sound
human resource practices.
– Participate in developing appropriate Employment Equity plans for the
organisation.
– Develop and execute an effective coaching and performance management plan.
- Perform all required managerial administrative responsibilities
– Ensure that all administrative requirements are conducted according to
prescribed COMPANY Policy and Procedure.
- Qualifications/Requirements/experience
Qualifications
Electrical or Mechanical trade as well as any administrative or business qualifications would be advantageous.
