Job Summary
Key
Responsibilities:
- Opening the clinic in the mornings and preparing for the day.
- Welcoming and greeting clients with warmth and professionalism.
- Answering calls (landline and mobile), making appointments for vets and nurses, and taking messages when needed.
- Processing payments via credit card, Zapper, and cash, including cashing up at the end of shifts.
- Assisting clients with pet food sales and over-the-counter products (training provided).
- Managing stock control, restocking shelves, and notifying admin of stock requirements.
- Assisting with pet insurance claim forms and sample collections for external labs.
- Following up on claims or lab results when necessary.
- Registering microchip numbers and validating promotional discount vouchers.
- Managing puppy and kitten pack validations through promotional offers.
- Handing over dispensed medications for collection (excluding handling of scheduled medications).
- Sending out vaccination reminders in a timely manner.
- Receiving and checking orders from suppliers.
- Communicating with clients regarding updates on pets in hospital.
- Keeping the reception area clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times.
- Assisting with additional administrative tasks as requested by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum Matric
- Previous experience in similar function/industry highly advantageous
- Own Vehicle
- Monday – Friday: 7:45 – 1700
- Alternative Saturday 07:45 – 12:30
Remuneration Package:
- R18 000 – R20 000.00 Cost to company
- Subject to experience
