Job Summary
Our client based in Epping Industrial is looking for a Logistics / Dispatch Manager.
General:
- Excellent time management skills and ensure to adhere to times stipulated on the Employee contract.
- Ensure you are neat and tidy and conduct yourself in a professional manner with all stakeholders.
- Adhere to all policies set out by the company and follow all processes and procedures of the company.
- Must have excellent communication skills, problem solving skills and conflict management skills.
- Ensure record keeping of all key documents and ensure paper trail is always maintained.
- Ensure the working area is neat, tidy, and safe always.
Tasks and
Responsibilities:
Skills transfer and training of Operators and Forklift drivers:
- Transfer of skills regarding factory and production flows and best logistics practices.
- Forklift drivers training and licenses review and continuous updated.
- Transfer of ASIB and ISO related standards to all logistics staff regarding store housing and stock movements.
- Training on system related interfaces and capturing such as RF scanner training as well as other systems inputs.
- Review and corrective training in weak or failed areas.
Scrutinizing Logistics services of production and sundry assemblies:
- Setting standards and monitoring Hyster hours capacities, efficiencies, cost and other internal logistics benchmarks.
- Daily monitoring and adjusting Hyster allocation per department as per internal demand.
- Assessing Hyster machine maintenance and upkeep and liaising with suppliers thereon
- Set B.O. Ps to increase efficiencies including continued improvement of operations and services redesign and review.
- Analyses, accurate reporting and complete management on Sundry Assemblies and Coating department.
- Complete pallet maintenance and control in respect of managing pallet stock, pallet maintenance and internal pallet movements.
Maintenance of Stores Management:
- Ensure that stock is stored in correct allocated warehouse per stock type.
- Ensure production area is free from accumulated stock by moving all produced goods to the relevant stores.
- Ensure that stores are kept at acceptable ASIB and ISO related standards.
Administration:
- Setting staff performance measures and targets.
- Manage and discipline logistics, sundries assemblies and coating department staff.
- Assisting production staff in the movement of stocks within the plant and stores.
Reporting and feedback:
- Report to Factory Manager
- Report daily activities.
- Report all material issues/concerns.
- Provide feedback on improvement.
