Job Summary
- Support with the various scheduled and/or emergency workflows under the supervision of the Group`s Facilities Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor via the facilities management software system.
- Sound knowledge in Quantity Surveying and the Built Environment.
- An affinity to work with systems.
Minimum Job
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying Building Science, Engineering.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years Quantity Surveying experience essential.
- Previous experience in construction services and built environment, an advantage.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations in the construction trade.
Competencies:
- Well-developed skills in Excel/high proficiency in MS Office.
- Working knowledge of software systems (Build Smart / Candy), an advantage.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders to achieve objectives.
- Supervisory/managerial skills.
- Technical skills.
- Initiative to improve properties.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries and requests of tenants and resolve issues within scope.
- Prepare lists of the site needs, and review variation orders and submit for approval.
- Follow up on issues related to task outputs (including but not limited to QS function) and provide feedback on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Keep an accurate record of allocated projects/tasks, providing updates to the QS/Facilities Manager.
- Co-ordinate and oversee regular building maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct regular building inspections and prepare reports.
- Ensure facilities are in compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and building codes.
- Compile bills of materials and quantities.
- Perform on-site measurements of materials and quantities.
- Conduct site visits and inspections.
- Project manage in terms of scope, time and cost to bring a project to completion.
- Learning & Development – adopt an approach of continuous professional development in various aspects of quantity surveying, including legal and regulatory requirements.
Facilities Software Administration
- System Administration:
- Manage user accounts and access levels. Install and update the facilities management software.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Data Management:
- Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance within the software, including asset details, maintenance schedules, and vendor information.
- Generate reports and analysis on facility usage, maintenance costs, and compliance status.
- Integrate data from other systems (e.g., building automation systems) into the facility management software.
- Work Order Management:
- Create and assign work orders for maintenance tasks based on scheduled preventative maintenance or reactive issues.
- Track the progress of work orders and ensure timely completion.
- Manage vendor contracts and communication regarding work orders.
