Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Inspect facilities and perform repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
- Handle preventative maintenance tasks
- Respond to emergency repair requests
- Assemble furniture, replace consumables, and maintain cleanliness
- Keep accurate records and communicate with the Supervisor and residents
Qualifications:
- Matric and relevant trade certification (e.g., electrical, plumbing)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Driver`s license and safety representative experience are a plus
- Proficient in multiple maintenance disciplines
Skills:
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Physically fit for manual work
- Professional demeanor, especially with elderly residents
Work Environment:
- Indoor/outdoor, flexible hours, may involve working at heights or confined spaces
