Job Specification: Financial & Sales Planning Analyst (SAICA)
Overview: Our client, a leading wholesaler in the hobby and toy industry, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial & Sales Planning Analyst to support their sales team. Key
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the sales team to manage product allocations and stock levels.
- Monitor stock availability and forecast demand to ensure the timely fulfilment of customer orders.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and assist in inventory planning.
- Coordinate with suppliers to manage delivery schedules and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Support the sales team in executing sales strategies, promotions, and product launches.
- Ensure seamless communication between sales, logistics, and warehouse teams to optimize stock movements.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, sales figures, and product forecasts.
- Perform financial reconciliations and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
- Review and analyse financial statements to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Implement internal controls and auditing processes to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and compliance documentation.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to inventory and financial transactions.
- Track and analyse cost structures to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Assist in pricing strategies by analysing financial impact and market trends.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to management.
- Develop financial models to support business decision-making.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Accounting undergraduate degree completed (SAICA accredited).
- SAICA articles completed.
- Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience in a planning, inventory management, or auditing clerk role, ideally within a retail or wholesale environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, and financial data effectively.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly strong Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for meticulous planning and financial accuracy.

Requirements:
- Own car and valid drivers license (transport required for the role).
- Must be able to work in-office (not hybrid) with flexible hours based on candidate needs.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation:
- Market-related salary and depending on experience: Roughly R28,000 R32,000 per month.
