Our client, a prominent shipyard company, is seeking an experienced PWHT (Post Weld Heat Treatment) Technician to join their team in Qatar for a two-year contract.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Certificate in Welding, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Trade Test as a PWHT Technician
• Minimum 3 years of experience working as a PWHT Technician or in a similar role in welding and heat treatment.
• Strong understanding of Post Weld Heat Treatment processes and equipment.
• Experience with temperature control, monitoring systems, and material testing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, HSE regulations, and safety practices in industrial environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Duties and

Responsibilities:

• Perform Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) on welded components and structures to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Set up and operate PWHT equipment such as furnaces and heat treatment ovens.
• Monitor and control the temperature, time, and atmosphere during the heat treatment process to maintain quality.
• Conduct pre-treatment inspections and ensure all materials are prepared according to project requirements.
• Work closely with welders, engineers, and supervisors to optimize heat treatment processes.
• Maintain accurate records of PWHT processes, parameters, and test results for compliance and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to heat treatment processes and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, HSE, and company safety protocols during all operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of PWHT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
