Our client, a reputable shipyard company, is seeking a skilled HSE Officer to join their team for a two-year contract in Qatar.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• NEBOSH / IOSH certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk management, and safety compliance.
• Experience in conducting safety training and audits.
• Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in high-risk environments and handle emergency situations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Duties and

Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and site inspections.
• Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards, including NEBOSH/IOSH guidelines.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Develop and update HSE documentation, manuals, and emergency response plans.
• Monitor and maintain safe work practices in alignment with industry regulations.
• Coordinate with management, clients, and regulatory authorities on safety-related matters.
• Oversee the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
• Promote a strong safety culture within the organisation.
