Our client, a prestigious organization within the oil and gas industry, is seeking an experienced Database Specialist to join their innovative data team on a 2 – 4-year contractual basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects in one of the world’s leading energy hubs.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and manage high-performance SQL Server databases.
- Build and maintain data models to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Perform database tuning for optimal efficiency and performance.
- Work on Data Warehousing and DataVault architecture (certification required).
- Implement ETL processes and ensure smooth data integration from multiple sources.
- Leverage Machine Learning techniques using Python to extract insights and improve data-driven decisions.
- Create impactful data visualizations to present complex datasets in a clear, meaningful way.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience as a Database Specialist or similar role.
- Advanced expertise in SQL Server, data modeling, and database performance tuning.
- Proven experience with Data Warehouse/DataVault methodologies (certification required).
- Proficiency in Python for machine learning and data analysis.
- Strong skills in ETL development and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Ability to translate complex data requirements into effective technical solutions.
