Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled Roaming IT Support Technician for a luxury property group based in Cape Town, with extensive travel required to various remote locations where the group operates. Key

Infrastructure Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Conduct both on-site and remote troubleshooting for network, server, and hardware issues

• Perform regular infrastructure health checks to ensure minimal downtime

• Support all systems in use across the groups operations

• Provide fast and efficient support to users

• Assist in installing, updating, and maintaining desktop and laptop systems

Deployment & Configuration

• Set up, configure, and upgrade infrastructure components including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls

• Ensure alignment with company standards during all deployment tasks

• Assist in large-scale rollouts of IT infrastructure across multiple sites

Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor infrastructure performance and security proactively

• Provide detailed reports on infrastructure status and recurring issues

• Collaborate with IT teams to improve monitoring tools

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support

• Liaise with onsite staff and vendors to address infrastructure needs

• Offer on-site and remote end-user support

• Participate in cross-functional project planning and implementation

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

• Maintain thorough documentation of infrastructure components and processes

• Share knowledge and train local IT staff to enhance efficiency

• Create best practices and SOPs for consistent infrastructure operations

Compliance & Risk Management

• Adhere to IT policies and security standards

• Identify vulnerabilities and propose improvements

• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

• Matric (High School Diploma)

• Relevant IT qualification

• CompTIA N+ Certification preferred

Experience:

• 58 years in a similar technical support position

• Minimum 5 years experience working with Azure, Active Directory, DNS, and Office 365

• Strong background in resolving network and site-down issues

• Proven experience in a Level 3 support role

• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities

• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Highly organized, methodical, and detail-oriented

• Team player with excellent interpersonal abilities
