Job Summary
Are you a young, motivated engineering professional looking to gain valuable project experience in the fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment? Were on the lookout for a Junior Project Engineer to support exciting projects in 2025! This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and build a solid foundation in project engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager and Project Engineer in executing various technical projects
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company standards
- Assist in developing project scope documents and managing request for quote processes
- Review engineering design drawings and participate in design reviews and HAZOP studies
- Assist with factory and performance acceptance testing
- Manage and track equipment delivery to site
- Support on-site construction activities and help resolve technical design issues
- Assist during commissioning and start-up phases
- Participate in change management processes and technical documentation updates
- Contribute to the development of maintenance requirements for handover to operations
- Handle administrative tasks as required
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary
Requirements:
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) or BTech in the same disciplines
- 1-2 years experience in an engineering or project environment
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety rules and regulations
- Experience working in an FMCG or industrial environment is an advantage
- Knowledge of project management principles (qualification beneficial)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- Excellent presentation, report writing, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage across all levels
