Requirements & Duties
- Checks F.I.F.O. system is being adhered to prevent stock loss through expired products. Advise store-man and production manager on any deviations or potential expiries.
- Check temperature of fridges and products as they are off loaded. Keep records of these checks on a daily basis.
- Ensure that C.O.A.’s are received for every product from every delivery. These docs to be filed and made available to QC department.
- Constantly check for signs of infestation on products and in and around the factory. Liase with QC department and production manager.
- Check temperature of fridge and freezer twice daily, record and sign off document.
- Ensure that products are correctly stored as per spec instructions and, if deviated from, advise store-man.
- Conduct quality checks of incoming perishable products. In the case of non conformances liase with store-man, production manager and QC department.
- Assist in receiving all deliveries daily and match delivered stock to invoices. In the case of short deliveries, report this to the store-man, production manager and the admin department.
- Make sure all delivered stock is labeled and coded correctly.
- Ensure that all semi produced mixes etc. are labeled correctly with description, date of production and internal code. Refuse to accept anything that is not labeled appropriately.
- Be involved in all traceability functions on raw materials and packaging.
- Checking and proper filing of department paperwork.
- Familiarize yourself and practice all duties specified by HACCP guidelines.
- Assist with stock issuing twice daily.
- Count, monitor and record sub standards daily.
- Separate quarantine products and shop products.
- Manage the quarantine cage and all documentation associated with it.
- Work with the store-man to ensure that we NEVER run out of ingredients or packaging. Should you foresee a potential issue or shortage, report this to the production manager immediately.
- Should there be supplier delivery problems or non-deliveries, report this to production manager and admin department as early as possible. Ensure that daily issue sheets are completed correctly every day.
- Assist wherever needed in other areas of the factory when not occupied by the above duties
