Job Summary
- Must be a Qualified Accountant (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical knowledge
- Experience in financial consolidations is essential
- Proven track record in managing finance teams and delivering results
- Acquisition and integration experience is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Adaptive and able to thrive in a fast-changing environment
- Effective communicator, especially with senior leadership
- Influential with the ability to drive change and accountability
- Skilled at coaching and developing team members
- Must have project management experience from planning to execution
- Demonstrated success in implementing change and leading initiatives
- Proficient in Excel and accounting systems
- Challenges the status quo and seeks continuous improvement
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
- Flexible, adaptable and composed under pressure
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Overseeing and managing the internal finance department, including identifying team training needs.
- Preparing and consolidating monthly management accounts for over 10 group entities with revenue exceeding £30 million.
- Producing monthly reporting packs and supporting senior leadership with insights and recommendations.
- Preparing annual group budgets and leading financial forecasting.
- Managing group cash flow and funding requirements.
- Overseeing the annual audit process.
- Leading the financial integration of acquisitions, including hive-ups and related projects.
- Identifying and monitoring key metrics aligned to business objectives.
- Setting and communicating financial targets and holding teams accountable to these goals.
- Promoting best practices through training and effective communication across the business.
- Creating and managing reporting tools that support fact-based decision-making.
- Driving business improvement initiatives by managing internal finance projects.
- Piloting internal testing of new products and services to assess client readiness.
- Continuously improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the finance function.
- Maintaining confidentiality of all financial and sensitive information.
- Upholding the business’s core values and competency framework.
- Maintaining up-to-date professional development (CPD).
